Dynym

Dynym ose Dylym (turqishtja osmane: دونم; turqisht: dönüm) ishte njësia osmane dhe shqiptare e sipërfaqes ekuivalente me stremma greke ose acre angleze, që përfaqësonte sasinë e tokës që mund të lërohej nga një ekip demash në një ditë. Përkufizimi ligjor ishte "dyzet hapa standarde në gjatësi dhe gjerësi",[1] por sipërfaqja e saj aktuale ndryshonte në mënyrë të konsiderueshme nga vendi në vend, nga pak më shumë se 900 metra katrorë në Palestinën Osmane në rreth 2500 metra katrorë në Irak.[2][3]

Njësia është ende në përdorim në shumë zona të sunduara më parë nga osmanët, megjithëse dynymi i ri ose metrik është ripërcaktuar si saktësisht një dekar (1000 metra katrorë), që është 1/10 hektar (1/10 × 10,000 metra katrorë) si stremma mbretërore moderne greke.[3]
