Hanëmi

Hanëm është një titull mbretëror dhe aristokratik femëror që fillimisht u përftua përmes një titulli të Ballkanit myslyman, Azisë Qendrore, dhe më vonë u përdor në Lindjen e Mesme dhe Azinë Jugore.

Është ekuivalenti femëror i titullit Han për një sundimtar sovran ose ushtarak, i përdorur gjerësisht nga popujt mesjetarë nomade turkik që jetojnë në Azi dhe Evropë dhe gjithashtu fiset mongole që jetojnë në veri dhe veriperëndim të Kinës moderne.[1] Në ngushtimin e fjalëve të gjuhëve turkike, prapashtesa "-um / -ım" shton "im", duke e bërë fjalën "Khanum" si "Hani im". Kjo lind nga përralla, që përshkruan një Han duke u njoftuar nënshtetasve të tij se unë jam Hani juaj dhe ajo është Hani im (Hanëm). Rouranët ishin njerëzit e parë që përdorën titujt Hagan dhe Han për perandorët e tyre, duke zëvendësuar Chanyu-n e Xiongnu-ve, të cilët René Grousset dhe të tjerët supozojnë se janë turkik.[2]
