House


Muzika House është një zhaner i muzikës elektronike e zhvilluar së pari nga DJ të klubeve dhe producentë muzikor ne Çikago në fillim të viteve 1980. Ajo u ndikua fillimisht nga muzika disko por u zhvillua më tej me elementë të rinj sidomos përsa i përket baterisë dhe tingujve bas të sintetizatorëve elektronikë. Në këtë muzikë ka edh epërsëritje ose zvarritje të tingujve. Emrin kjo muzikë e mori nga klubi i natës në të cilën luhej për herë të parë, klubi The Warehouse në Çikago. Disa studiues thonë se ky emër iu vendos muzikës sepse shumicae DJ-ve e prodhonin atë në shtëpi (ang. house). Sot, kësaj muzike i shtohen nuanca nga më të ndryshmet, në varësi të shijeve të DJ-ve dhe kërkesave të publikut.
