Infrared ose Infrakuq eshtë nje teknologji që përdoret tek TV-komanduesi, telefona mobil (celulare), PDAs, kompjutëra, makine shtypëse, etj.

IRDA qëndron për Infrared Data Association që nga viti 1994.

Transportimi i te dhenave bëhet bidirektional pra në dy drejtimet. Shpejtësia maksimale e te dhenave është 4 Mbit/s. Ana negative është që komponentët me IRDA duhet të jenë të drejtuara direkt njëra me tjetren dhe të mos pengohen apo të mos lëvizin.

Largësia ndërmjet këtyre komponentëve nuk duhet të jetë më larg se 1 metër dhe vetëm dy komponentë mund të komunikojnë ndërmjet vehti.
