Kaiser

Kaiser është fjalë gjermane për "perandor" (Kaiserin femër). Në përgjithësi, titulli gjerman në parim vlen për sundimtarët kudo në botë mbi gradën e mbretit (König). Fjala Kaiser përdoret kryesisht për perandorët e Perandorisë Gjermane (1871-1918) dhe perandorët e Perandorisë Austriake (1804-1918). Gjatë Luftës së Parë Botërore, ndjenja anti-gjermane ishte në kulmin e saj; termi Kaiser - veçanërisht i zbatuar për perandorin gjerman Vilhelmi II - kështu fitoi konotacione të konsiderueshme negative në vendet anglishtfolëse.
