Materiali
Materiali është një substancë ose përzierje substancash që përbën një objekt. Materialet mund të jenë të pastra ose të papastra, materie të gjalla ose jo të gjalla. Materialet mund të klasifikohen në bazë të vetive të tyre fizike dhe kimike, ose në origjinën e tyre gjeologjike ose funksionin biologjik. Shkenca e materialeve është studimi i materialeve, vetive dhe aplikimeve të tyre.
Lëndët e para mund të përpunohen në mënyra të ndryshme për të ndikuar në vetitë e tyre, duke pastruar, formësuar ose futur materiale të tjera. Materialet e reja mund të prodhohen nga lëndët e para me sintezë.
Në industri, materialet janë inpute në proceset e prodhimit për të prodhuar produkte ose materiale më komplekse.[1]
