Mulla

Mollà në Veri, ose Mullà në Jug, Kosovë, Dibër dhe Elbasan, mllà në Tiranë (arab. ملا, mawlā, shq. "zotni, mjeshtër") është një titull që përdoret në mënyrë të bigëzuar në Kuran. Përdoret për burra dhe gra të shkolluar në teologji islame dhe Sheriat.

Herët ka qenë titull i lartë për dijetarët dhe dinjitarët e shquar muslimanë, sidomos për kryesorët: Kadi i madh, sikur i Egjiptit, i Mekës, i Indisë, etj. Sulltanët e Marokut e kanë përdorur si titull shtesë.

Në viset shqiptare u jepej atyre që ndiqnin ose jepnin mësime nëpër mejtepe dhe medrese, pra një hoxhe të kënduar. Në Gjirokastër mullà thirrej ai që kishte dijeni fetare ose pak shkollë të kulturës së përgjithshme fetare si të ishte hoxhë, ashtu edhe laik. Në Tiranë, me aferezë në -o me "mllà" nusja e re i drejtohej për sajdi kunetët e mëdhenj.[1]

Emra

Në Dibër, Lushnje e ngjeti ndeshet si emër familjesh Mullàj, Mullahi; në rrethinat e Delvinës është edhe fshati Mollamusàj.[1]
