Pierre (shqiptohet: pier)është kryeqyteti i shtetit South Dakota të SHBA-së dhe qendra e qarkut Hughes. Popullsia e tij ishte 13.646 banorë në regjistrimin e vitit 2010. I themeluar në vitin 1880 mbi lumin Misuri, Pierre ka qenë kryeqyteti i Dakotës së Jugut që kur ajo iu bashkua SHBA-së më 11 nëntor 1889, i zgjedhur për vendndodhjen e tij në qendrën gjeografike të shtetit.
