Profecia
Në fe, një profeci është një mesazh që i është komunikuar një personi (zakonisht i quajtur profet) nga një entitet i mbinatyrshëm. Profecitë janë një tipar i shumë kulturave dhe sistemeve të besimit dhe zakonisht përmbajnë vullnet ose ligj hyjnor, ose njohuri paranatyrore, për shembull për ngjarjet e ardhshme. Ato mund t'i zbulohen profetit në mënyra të ndryshme në varësi të fesë dhe historisë, si vizionet, ose ndërveprimi i drejtpërdrejtë me qeniet hyjnore në formë fizike. Historitë e veprave profetike ndonjëherë marrin vëmendje të konsiderueshme dhe disa kanë qenë të njohura se kanë mbijetuar për shekuj përmes traditës gojore ose si tekste fetare.
