Sumatra është një ishull në perëndim të Indonezisë. Ai është ishulli më i madh i Indonezisë dhe ishulli i gjashtë më i madh në botë, 473.481 km2 dhe me një popullsi prej 50,365,538 banorë. Qyteti i saj më i madh është Medani, me një popullsi prej 2,109,330 banorësh.
