URL

Uniform Resource Locator (URL), ose siç njihet me termin joformal një adresë interneti,[1] është një referencë për një burim në internet që përcakton vendndodhjen e tij në një rrjet kompjuterik dhe një mekanizëm për ta nxjerrë/marrë atë. Një URL është e një lloji të veçantë e Uniform Resource Identifier (URI),[2] edhe pse shumë njerëz i përdorin këto dy terma në mënyrë të ndërsjellë.[3][a] URL-të ndodhin më së shpeshti për të referuar faqet e internetit (http), por përdoren gjithashtu për transferimin e skedarëve (ftp), e-mail (mailto), qasje në bazën e të dhënave (JDBC), dhe shumë aplikime të tjera.
