Unicode

Unicode është një standart internacional, në të cilën përcaktohet për çdo shenjë ose element teksti një kod digital për të gjitha shenjat shkrimet e botës dhe systemet e shenjave.

Kodet, memorizimi dhe transmetimi

Kodet e shenjave të unicode pasqyrohen hexadecimal me nje „U+“ përpara. Memorizimi i shenjave të unicode behet në formate të ndryshme:

Institutet e normativave

Unicode Consortium u themelua ne vitin 1991, dhe është përgjegjës për standartin industrial unicode. Nga organizata internacionale për standartizime ISO (International Organization for Standardization) parashtrohet norma internationale ISO 10646. Të dyja institutet kooperojnë ngushtë me njëra-tjetrën.
