Si Batman ay isang kathang-isip na karakter na ginawa ni Bob Kane. Isa si Batman sa mga kilalang characters ng DC Comics. Ang kanyang sikretong pangalan ay si Bruce Wayne,isang mayaman at playboy na tao. Kung iyong titingan may pagkakahawig si Batman kay Superman dahil binase ito kay Superman.

Sa taong 1989 ay pinalabas sa mga sinihan ang Batman (1989), si Michael Keaton ang gumanap ng role na batman at Jack Nicholson bilang Joker. Dahil sa tagumpay ng Batman (1989) ay gumawa sila ng bagong sequel na pinagalanan na Batman Returns pinalabas ito sa taong 1992. Ang Batman Forever ay ang pagatlong sequel ng Batman (1989) ngunit hindi na bumalik si Keaton bilang Batman imbis ay pinalitan na ito ni Val Kilmer. Sa pang-apat na sequel ay hindi naging matagumpay ngunit ang video game nito ay naging pinakamagandang video game ng Batman Franshice.

Dahil sa Batman (1989) at Batman Returns ay naging inspiration ito ng Batman The Animated Series. Ang Batman The Animated Series ay naging matagumpay ng animated TV show at ito'y nagkaroon pa ng mga gantimpala. Noong 1996 ay gumawa ulit si Bruce Timm ng bagong proyekto at ito ang Superman The Animated Series dahil sa "STAS" ay binalik nila ulit ang batman at ginawan ng bagong Title na The New Batman Adventures(TNBA or Batman Gotham Knights). Ang Batman Begins ay lumabas sa sinehan noong 2005 na pinagbibidahan ni Christian Bale bilang Batman, ang kasunod nito ay ipinalabas noong Hulyo 2008 na pinamagatang The Dark Knight.
