Ang Berceto (Parmigiano: Bersèjj , Barsäi o Bersè ; Ligurian: Bercèi) ay isang nayon at comune (komuna o munisipalidad) sa lalawigan ng Parma sa Italya, na matatagpuan sa Kabundukang Apenino sa pangunahing kalsada sa pagitan ng La Spezia at Parma, sa lambak ng Ilog Taro, sa rehiyon ng Emilia-Romaña.

Ang pangunahing simbahan sa lungsod ay ang Duomo ng San Moderanno na itinatag noong ika-9 na siglo at may mga eskultura sa panahon ng Lombard. Kasama sa iba pang mga pasyalan ang mga labi ng Kastilyo ng Berceto pati na rin ang mga Pietramogolana at Roccaprebalza. Ang Berceto ay ang lugar ng kapanganakan ng condottiero Pier Maria II de' Rossi.

Pinagmulan ng pangalan

Ang toponimo ay maaaring nagmula sa isang pre-Romanong panahon, tulad ng ayon sa ilang mga historyador na ito ay nagmula sa isang Ligur o Seltang na termino, na binago noong panahon ng Romano sa Quercetum,[4] kahit na binanggit ng Tabula alimentaria ni Trajano ng Velleia ang saltus prediaque Berusetis.[5]
