CPU
Ang CPU (mula sa Ingles: central processing unit) ay tinaguriang utak ng isang kompyuter, ang nagsasagawa ng mga utos ng mga program. Ito ay isang maliit na chip na nakalagay sa motherboard. Pangkaraniwang ito ay napapaibabawan ng fan o heat sink upang maibsan ang pag-init. Ang dalawang malaking kompanya na gumagawa ng mga processor ay ang Intel at AMD.
Parte
Ang dalawang parte ng isang CPU ay ang aritmetik at lohikang unit(ALU) na nagsasagawa ng mga aritmetikal at lohikal na operasyon sa mga data at ang Kontrol unit(CU) na kumukha ng mga instruksiyon sa memorya at isinasagawa ang mga ito.
