Ang Fermignano (Romagnol: Fermignèn) ay isang komuna (munisipalidad) sa Lalawigan ng Pesaro at Urbino sa rehiyon ng Marche ng Italya, na matatagpuan mga 70 kilometro (43 mi) sa kanluran ng Ancona at mga 35 kilometro (22 mi) timog-kanluran ng Pesaro.

Dito ipinanganak ang Renasimyentong arkitektong si Donato Bramante.

Pisikal na heograpiya

Kasama sa munisipal na lugar ang isang eksklabo: ang pook Pagino (na kinabibilangan ng nayon ng Villa del Furlo), sa pagitan ng mga munisipalidad ng Acqualagna, Cagli, Fossombrone, at Urbino.[4] Ang ilog ng Metauro ay tumatawid sa teritoryo ng munisipalidad.

Kasaysayan

Maaaring mabakas ang kasaysayan ni Fermignano noong 200 BK, na ang pangalan ay malamang na nagmula sa isang taong nagngangalang Firmidio. Lumaki ang lungsod sa paligid ng isang tulay sa ibabaw ng ilog Metauro.[5] Sa paglipas ng mga siglo, nasa ilalim ng hurisdiksyon ng Dukado ng Urbino ang Fermignano. Mula 1607, binigyan ito ng sarili nitong sangguniang pampangasiwaan.

Basketball

Ang club ng basketball ay tinatawag na Metauro Basket Academy, itinatag noong 2019 mula sa unyon kasama ang Nuovo Basket Fossombrone, Pallacanestro Calcinelli, at Pallacanestro Fermignano. Naglalaro ito ng mga aktibidad ng kabataan (6 na kampeonato sa FIP noong 2021/22) at unang koponan sa Serie C Silver na may pangalang Bartoli Mechanics. Ang Fermignano Eagles ay nagsasagawa ng mga aktibidad sa minibasket.
