Si Fibonacci ( /ˌfɪbəˈnɑːtʃi/;[3] bigkas din EU /ˌfiːbʔ/,[4][5] Italyano: [fiboˈnattʃi]; mga 1170 – mga 1240–50),[6] kilala din bilang Leonardo Bonacci, Leonardo of Pisa, o Leonardo Bigollo Pisano ('Leonardo, ang Manlalakbay mula sa Pisa'[7]), ay isang Italyanong matematiko mula sa Republika ng Pisa, na tinuturing na "ang pinakatalentadong Kanluraning matematiko ng Gitnang Panahon".[8]
Gawa-gawa lamang ang pangalan na karaniwan siyang kilala, ang Fibonacci, noong 1838 ni Guillaume Libri, isang Pranko-Italyanong dalubhasa sa kasaysayan[9][10] at pinaikling filius Bonacci ('anak ni Bonacci').[11][b] Bagaman, kahit noong mas maagang 1506, isang notaryo ng Imperyong Romanong Perizolo ay binanggit si Leonardo bilang "Lionardo Fibonacci".[12]
Pinasikat ni Fibonacci ang sistemang pamilang Hindu-Arabe sa kanluraning mundo sa pamamagitan ng kanyang komposisyon noong 1202 na Liber Abaci (Aklat ng Kalkulasyon).[13][14] Ipinakilala din niya sa Europa ang pagkasunod-sunod na mga bilang na Fibonacci, na ginamit niyang halimbawa sa Liber Abaci.[15]
