Linimento

Ang linimento ay isang uri ng likidong gamot na ipinapahid o pamahid sa labas o ibabaw ng balat.[1]

Linimentong A.B.C.

Isang halimbawa ng linimento ang linimentong A.B.C. (A.B.C. liniment kung tawagin sa Ingles). Isa itong pinaglangkap o pinagsamang (isang kompuwesto) gamot na pamahid na naglalaman ng pantay na mga sangkap o bahagi ng iba pang linimento, partikular na ng linimentong akonito, beladona, at kloropormo. Ginagamit ito sa pagbibigay ng lunas sa mga kalagayan ng lumbago, siyatika, at neuralhiya. Ipinapahid ito sa apektado o nananakit na bahagi ng katawan. Maaari ring ginagamitan ng malalambot na himulmol o hibla ng tela nakabalot sa buto ng bulak. Bago ipahid sa balat, inaalog muna ng husto ang boteng may lamang linimento. May pag-iingat ding ginagawa sa pagpahid ng linimento sapagkat maaaring makairita sa balat ang gamot na ito. Walang partikular na dosi o daming ibinibigay para sa pagpapahid ng linimento dahil sa labas lamang ng balat ito ginagamit.[2]
