Lysander

Si Lysander[1] (namatay 395 BC) (Griyego: Λύσανδρος, Lýsandros; Kastila: Lisandro) ay isang heneral ng Sparta at komandante ng hukbong-dagat sa Hellespont na naging matagumpay laban sa mga Athenian sa digmaan ng Aegospotami noong 405 BC. Nang sumunod na taon, napasuko at nagapi niya ang mga namumunong Athenian, na naging dahilan ng pagwawakas ng Digmaang Peloponesyano.

Pinamunuan ni Lysander ang kaniyang pulutong ng mga sasakyang dagat sa pagkapanalo laban sa mga Athenian sa may Notium noong 407 BC, na naging sanhi ng pagkatalo ng huli sa Aegopostamus noong 405 BC at naging wakas ng Digmaan Peloponesyano. Pinilit niyang magkaroon ng kapangyarihan sa ibabaw ng lahat ng mga lungsod-estado ng Gresya, subalit nagapi siya ng mga mamamayan ng Boetia, isang kalabang lungsod-estado. Napatay siya ng mga ito sa isang pakikipagdigma sa Haliartus.[1]
