Ang Manhattan ay isa sa mga boro ng lungsod ng Lungsod ng Bagong York, na nasa isla ng Manhattan sa bukana ng Ilog Hudson.

Ang New York County na may parehong hangganan sa boro ng Manhattan (at hindi dapat ipalit sa New York City o Lungsod ng Bagong York), ay ang pinaka-dense na county sa Estados Unidos na may 2008 na populasyon na 1,634,795[1] sa lawak na 22.96 square miles (59.47 km²), o 71,201 na naninirahan bawat square mile (27,485/km²).
