Ang Monteferrante ay isang komuna (munisipalidad) sa Lalawigan ng Chieti sa rehiyon ng Abruzzo sa gitnang Italya.

Kasaysayan

Ang pinakamaagang mga tala ay nagmula noong ika-12 siglo bilang pag-aari ni Robertus de Monteferrante, piyudal na panginoon ng Symon Konde ng Sangro. Sa Generalis Subventio degli Angioini mula noong 1320 ang halaga ng bayan ay umabot sa 5 onsa at 4 na tari. Sa ikalabing-apat na siglo ito ay binanggit dahil sa mga simbahan: S. Johannis, s. Petri, at S. Leucite sa Monteferrante

Mula noong ika-15 siglo hanggang sa pagkawasak ng mga away piyudal, ito ay isang fief ng pamilya Caracciolo.[4]
