Sake

Ang Sake o Saké ( /ˈsɑːkeɪ/, "sah-keh")[1][2] ay isang inuming alkoholiko na nagmula sa Hapon na yari mula sa permentadong bigas. Ang sake ay paminsan-minsang tinatawag na "alak ng bigas" ngunit ang proseso ng paggawa o pagluluto ay mas kahawig ng sa paggawa ng serbesa, na ang gawgaw o almirol ay pinagiging asukal para sa proseso ng permentasyon, sa pamamagitan ng Aspergillus oryzae.

Sa wikang Hapones, ang salitang "sake" (酒, "alak", na binibigkas din bilang shu) ay pangkalahatang tumutukoy sa anumang inuming may naiinom na alkohol, habang ang inuming tinatawag na "sake" sa Ingles ay karaniwang tinatawag na nihonshu (日本酒, "alak na Hapones") na ang diwa ay "isang uri ng inuming alkoholiko na gawa mula sa bigas".
