Urano
Ang Urano (sagisag: .svg){kind=small}
) ang ikapitong planeta mula sa araw at ikatlo sa pinakamalaking planeta sa buong sistemang solar. Isinunod ang pangalan nito Griyegong diyos ng kalangitan (Uranus, Οὐρανός), ama ni Kronos (Saturn) at lolo ni Zeus (Jupiter). Kahit kaya itong makita sa pamamagitan lamang ng mata ng tao katulad ng lima pang klasikal na planeta hindi ito na nakilalang planeta ng mga naunang mga nagmamatyag dahil sa madilim nitong kalangitan at mabagal na pag-ikot sa orbit.[1]
Ibinalita ni Ginoong William Herschel ang pagkakatuklas dito noong ika-13 ng Marso, 1781 na nagpalawig sa hangganan ng sistemang pang-araw sa unang pagkakataon sa makabagong kasaysayan. Ito rin ang unang pagkakataon na makatuklas ng planeta gamit ang daksipat.
