Ang utot[1] (Ingles: flatulence, flatus, fart) ay ang hanging lumalabas o sumisingaw mula sa butas ng puwit ng tao o hayop. Nagkakaroon ng kabag (tympanites sa Ingles, mula sa Griyegong τύμπανο o "tambol") ), ang pamimintog o paglobo ng tiyan dahil sa pagtataglay at pagkakaipon ng hangin sa loob ng tiyan.[2] Samantala, tinatawag namang meteorismo kapag namintog o lumobo ang bituka dahil sa pagkakaipon ng hangin sa loob nito. Nakakaapekto ang meteorismo sa normal na paghinga ng tao.[3] Kapwa nagaganap ang kabag at meteorismo sa loob ng landasing gastrointestinal.

Kabilang sa maaaring maging sanhi ng meteorismo at kabag ang mga sumusunod:

  • Bara sa bituka
  • Mga bato sa bato
  • Kasiraan sa tungkulin ng bahagi ng katawan (disordeng punksyonal)
  • Labis na pagkain
  • Labis na paglaki o pagdami ng bakterya
  • Pamamaga ng bituka
  • Sobra sa pagkain ng matatabang pagkain gaya ng taba ng baboy na nagdudulot ng mabagal na pagtunaw ng pagkain sa loob ng tiyan
