Windows Boot Manager

Ang Windows Boot Manager o (WBM) ay ang nag-papaboot ng mga Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Logon Phase

Pagkatapos makapag log-in ang user sa machine, ginagawa ng Winlogon (Winlogon.exe) ang mga sumusunod:

  • Ina-update ang Control Sets; the LastKnownGood control set is updated to reflect the current control set.
  • User and Computer Group Policy settings are applied.

    7. All Users ProfilePath\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\ (please note that this path is localized on non-English versions of Windows)
    8. Current User ProfilePath\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\ (please note that this path is localized on non-English versions of Windows)

Winload.exe

winload.exe ay ang boot loader ng Windows Vista operating system. Ito ay tinatawag nang Windows Boot Manager para ma-karga ang operating system kernel (ntoskrnl.exe) at (boot-class) device drivers,[1] and is in that respect functionally equivalent to (the operating system loader functionality of) NTLDR sa mga ibang bersyon ng Windows NT.

(Pansinin rin na ang filename na winload.exe ay ginagamit din ng isang parental control software program, ang PC Tattletale. Ang program na ito ay walang kinalaman sa Windows Vista startup process o sa Microsoft program na winload.exe.[2])
