Modon o Modone (in greco: Μεθώνη, Methoni) la xe na sitadina costiera de la Grecia, ne la region del Peloponeso e ne la prefetura de Messenia. La sità, che inte el 2001 la gavea 2.638 abitanti, la ghe deve la so inportanza storica al fato che par longo tenpo la xe sta una de le basi navali piasè inportanti de la Republica Veneta.
La sità la se cata su la costa ionica del Peloponeso, tra Navarino e Cao Gallo, di fronte a le ìzołe Sapienza e Cabrera. In epoca venexiana ghe fasea scalo squasi tute le navi venexiane su la rotta tra Venexia e el Levante, nonché tute quante le navi de pelegrini in viajo verso la Terasanta. Par la so posizion strategica a guardia de l'inboco de l'Adriatico, la forteza de Modon la jera tegnua in granda considerazion da la Serenisima e soranomenà (insieme al porto de Coron, lì vizin) Venetiarum ocellae ("i oci de Venexia").
