Pontinia ła xe sta fondada inte el 1935 durante ła bonifica fata dal goerno fasista. Ła giera el cor agricol del' Agro Pontino. Ła popolasion ciamà a ocupar ła sità nova giera costituì in gràn parte da coloni veneti e feraresi. Poco dopo anca i sezesi i venero a abità le tere bonificà.
