Amberg ye una ciudat independient situada en a rechión de l'Alto Palatinato en Bavera.
Historia
A ciudat fue mencionada per primera vegada en 1034, en ixe inte baixo lo nombre d'Ammenberg. Se convirtió en un important centro comercial en a Edat Meya, exportando prencipalment mineral de fierro y productos de fierro. En 1269, de conchunta con Bamberg, a ciudat se subordinó a la dinastía Wittelsbach que gubernó Bavera.
