Hydor (λ Aquarii / λ Aqr / 73 Aquarii)[6] ye una estrella de magnitú aparente +3,73, la sesta más brillosa de la constelación d'Acuariu. El so nome provién del griegu antiguu ‘υδωρ y significa «agua». Tamién recibe'l nome de Ekkhysis.

Distante 392 años lluz del Sistema Solar, Hydor ye una xigante colorada de tipu espectral M2.5IIIa y 3555 K de temperatura efectivo. Como tal, ye muncho más grande que'l Sol, con un radiu 100 vegaes mayor que'l radiu solar, equivalente a 0,5 UA. La so lluminosidá, incluyendo una gran parte de la so enerxía que ye emitida nel infrarroxu, ye igual a la de 2210 soles. Amás, ye una estrella variable irregular de tipu LB, con oscilaciones nel so rellumu ente magnitú +3,70 y +3,80. Ye una xigante colorada per segunda vegada», pos nel so nucleu'l heliu tresformóse en oxíxenu y carbonu. Con una edá de 440 millones d'años, nun futuru non bien llonxanu va espulsar les sos capes esteriores pa terminar los sos díes como una nana blanca.[7]

Como s'atopa cerca de la eclíptica, Hydor ye regularmente despintáu pola Lluna.
