Esteban Echevarría (2 d'avientu de 1956, L'Habana), conocíu artísticamente como Steven Bauer, ye un actor cubanu con nacionalidá d'Estaos Xuníos.

Biografía

En 1960, pocu dempués del trunfu de la revolución cubana, y con namái tres años, emigró de Cuba xunto a la so familia escontra Miami, Florida. La so vocación orixinal foi escontra la música, pero fixo actor mientres estudiaba nel Miami-Dade Community College.

Darréu treslladóse a la Universidá de Miami, onde estudió nel Departamentu d'artes Teatrales y realizó representaciones nel Jerry Herman Ring Theatre. Darréu camudóse a Nueva York, onde tuvo como profesora d'actuación a Stella Adler, apaeciendo en delles producciones de teatru.

El so primer papel importante foi'l de Manolo Ray (Manny Ribera na versión inglesa) na conocida cinta de 1983 "Scarface". Los productores d'esta película diéron-y el papel basándose nos sos antecedentes cubanos. La so actuación valió-y una candidatura a los Globu d'Oru na categoría de meyor interpretación de repartu. "Scarface" narra la vida d'un inmigrante cubanu que s'introduz nel negociu ilícitu de drogues.

Bauer tuvo casáu cola actriz Melanie Griffith dende mayu de 1982 hasta 1987. En divorciándose casóse con Ingrid Anderson en 1989. Tuvo un fíu con caúna d'elles. El so segundu matrimoniu terminó en divorciu 1991. Un añu más tarde, casóse cola so tercer esposa, Christiana Boney, de quien terminaría divorciándose tamién.
