Underground

Underground ye un términu inglés que s'aplica a les manifestaciones artístiques o a los estilos de vida que se consideren alternativos, contrarios o ayenos a la cultura oficial. La pallabra significa lliteralmente "soterráneu" o "submundu", y tien un evidente valor metafóricu: la cultura que tresmiten los medios de formación de mases (mainstream) se concibe como una superficie o velu, embaxu del cual s'alcuentra aquello que ye verdaderu pero permanez ignoráu, na escuridá.

Frank Zappa desplicó asina la estremancia ente dambos campos: La cultura oficial sal al to alcuentru, pero al underground tienes que dir tu.

Davezu, artistes y estilos d'ésitu masivu comenzaron siendo fenómenos underground: ye'l casu de la psicodelia de los años 60 o'l hip-hop de fines de los 70. El camín tamién se percuerre en sentíu aviesu: fenómenos ayeri masivos pueen quedar mañana reducíos a grupos de cultu.
