Tafodiethoedd
Roedd i'r Gopteg chwe thafodiaith. Yn yr Aifft Uchaf (de'r wlad) y dafodiaith Sahideg oedd y brif ffurf o'r 5ed ganrif ymlaen. Yn yr Aifft Isaf defnyddid y dafodiaith Bohaireg fel iaith eglwysig gan Gristnogion yr Eglwys Goptaidd.
