Roedd Mary Isabel Catherine Bernadette O'Brien OBE (16 Ebrill 1939 – 2 Mawrth 1999), a oedd yn cael ei hadnabod yn broffesiynol fel Dusty Springfield yn gantores bop o Loegr. O'r holl gantorion benywaidd a lwyddodd yn siartiau'r Unol Daleithiau, Springfield gafodd y dylanwad fwyaf ar y farchnad Americanaidd. Rhwng 1963 a 1970, llwyddodd 18 o'i senglau i gyrraedd y Billboard Hot 100. Cafodd ei phleidleisio'n Artist Benywaidd Prydeinig Gorau gan ddarllenwyr NME ym 1964, 1965 a 1968. Hefyd cafodd ei henwi ymysg y 25 perfformwraig roc benywaidd gorau erioed gan ddarllenwyr cylchgrawn Mojo, golygyddion cylchgrawn Q (2002) a chan banel o artistiaid ar y sianel deledu VH1 (2007).

Fel ffan o gerddoriaeth soul Americanaidd, crëodd Dusty Springfield sain soul unigryw. Disgrifiwyd ei llais unigryw gan Burt Bacharach fel: "...three notes and you knew it was Dusty."
