Homeostasis yw'r enw a roddir ar y broses a ddefnyddir gan organebau byw i reoli eu cyflyrau ffisiolegol a chemegol eu hunain i'w galluogi i weithredu ar y lefel optimwm. Mae angen cadw llawer o newidynnau o fewn ffiniau penodol.
