FA Charity Shield 1998

De FA Charity Shield 1998 (ook bekend als de AXA FA Charity Shield om sponsorredenen) was de 76e FA Charity Shield, een jaarlijkse Engelse voetbalwedstrijd georganiseerd door de Engelse voetbalbond (The Football Association) en werd gespeeld tussen de winnaars van de Premier League en de FA Cup van vorig seizoen.

Deze werd gespeeld op 9 augustus 1998 door Arsenal – die de competitie en de FA Cup het voorgaande seizoen had gewonnen – en Manchester United – die tweede waren geworden in de competitie. De wedstrijd werd door Arsenal met 3-0 gewonnen op Wembley Stadium, waar 67.242 toeschouwers aanwezig waren.
