FA Charity Shield 2000

De FA Charity Shield 2000 (ook bekend als de One 2 One FA Charity Shield om sponsorredenen) was de 78e FA Charity Shield, een jaarlijkse Engelse voetbalwedstrijd georganiseerd door de Engelse voetbalbond (The Football Association) en werd gespeeld tussen de winnaars van de Premier League en de FA Cup van vorig seizoen.

De wedstrijd werd voor de allerlaatste keer gespeeld op het oude Wembley Stadium – vóór de afbraak van dit legendarische stadion – op 13 augustus 2000 door Manchester United, dat in het seizoen 1999/2000 de Premier League won, en Chelsea, in 2000 winnaar van de FA Cup. Chelsea won de supercup met 2–0. De Nederlandse aanvaller Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink scoorde het openingsdoelpunt. Bij Chelsea stond Ed de Goeij onder de lat en speelde Mario Melchiot voorts op de positie van rechtsachter. Melchiot scoorde de tweede goal. Bij Manchester United mocht Jaap Stam na amper 19 minuten de geblesseerde Mikaël Silvestre vervangen. Raimond van der Gouw was de reservedoelman bij Manchester United. Manchester United-aanvoerder Roy Keane werd op het uur uitgesloten na een overtreding op Gus Poyet.

De volgende editie van de Engelse supercup was onderdeel van een reeks edities die werd gespeeld op Millennium Stadium in de Welshe hoofdstad Cardiff – tot de voltooiing van het huidige Wembley in 2006.
