Grothusenkoog is een zeer kleine gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Sleeswijk-Holstein. De gemeente ligt in de Kreis Noord-Friesland. Grothusenkoog telt 23 inwoners.[1] De naam Grothusenkoog verwijst naar de Koog (Duits voor polder) van Grothusen. In 1693 ontving Otto-Johann, Freiherr von Grothusen, land aan de Eider van hertog Christiaan Albrecht als dank voor bewezen trouwe dienst.
