NGC 65 (ook wel PGC 1229, ESO 473-10A of MCG -4-2-1) is een elliptisch sterrenstelsel in het sterrenbeeld Walvis.

NGC 65 werd in 1886 ontdekt door de Amerikaanse astronoom Frank Muller.

TYC 6413-340-1

De sterrenstelsels NGC 65 en NGC 66 bevinden zich, vanaf de aarde gezien, schijnbaar zeer dicht bij de voorgrondster TYC 6413-340-1. Amateurastronomen kunnen deze voorgrondster aanwenden als gidsobject tijdens het opsporen van beide stelsels.
