Prerow is een gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Mecklenburg-Voor-Pommeren. De gemeente maakt deel uit van het Landkreis Vorpommern-Rügen. Prerow telt 1.486 inwoners.[1] Prerow bevindt zich voor het grootste deel op het voormalige eiland Darß, een klein deel ligt op het schiereiland Zingst, beide onderdeel van Fischland-Darß-Zingst.
Van 1715 tot 1720 behoorde Prerow tot Denemarken.
De gemeente is populair bij toeristen door haar brede zandstranden. Het weststrand is veertien kilometer lang.
