Megagram, symbol Mg[1] – pochodna jednostka masy w układzie SI (także pochodna jednostka masy w stosowanym dawniej układzie CGS) równa jednemu milionowi gramów (1 000 000 g), popularna nazwa – tona.
Uwagi
- Jednostka stosowana niezbyt często: dla dużych mas stosuje się chętniej tony (w razie potrzeby wraz z odpowiednimi przedrostkami, np. kilotony i megatony) albo tysiące kilogramów.
- Megagram jest standardową jednostką stosowaną w praktyce i przepisach prawnych dotyczących recyklingu do określania ilości odpadów.
