VB ose Visual Basic (lexo: Vìzhual Bèizik) është një gjuhë programimi e orientuar në objekte (COM) dhe në programacionin me ngjarie (ang. Event-driven programming), i svilupuar nga Microsoft për ambientet e saj për svilupin.
Më mbas VB u zëvëndësua nga Visual Basic .NET. Versionet e vjetra u influencuan shumë nga BASIC dhe filluan të përdornin svilupimin e shpejt të programave (ang. RAD, Rapid Application Development) e grafikës së pamjes së përdoruesit (ang. GUI, Graphic User Interface). Më mbas filluan të futen dhe të komunikojnë me bazat e të dhënave (ang. Database) duke përdorur DAO, RDO ose ADO, po edhe filluan krijimin e kontrolleve dhe objekteve ActiveX.
