Colubroidea je nadfamilija zmija u kladi Colubroides koja obuhvata Colubridae, pri čemu neke studije dele Colubridae u više porodica koje čine Colubroidea. Istorijski gledano, Colubroidea je takođe uključivala druge kenofidijske zmije kao što su kobre i ljutice, jer ove zmije čine kladu. Međutim, ove grupe su sada podeljene u nekoliko različitih, ali povezanih porodica.[1][2][3][4] Zaher i dr. (2009) su predložili redefinisanje Colubroidea za colubride i srodne porodice, dok su Colubroides odredili kao grupu koja sadrži ljutice i kobre, kao i colubroide.[1] Baza podataka reptil smatra da je Colubroidea sastavljena od Colubridae i članova njene sestrinske grupe, Elapoidea, i ne priznaje podelu Colubridae na više porodica.[5]
