Columbea је клада коју је сугерисала анализа генома, а која садржи голубове и гугутке Columbiformes, саџе Pteroclidae, мезити Mesitornithiformes и фламингосе и гњурце Mirandornithes.[2] До њиховог недавног сврставања као сестринског таксона Passerea, у последњој деценији разне генетске анализе су их сврстале у застарелу кладу Metaves.[3][4]
