Ancha (θ Aquarii / θ Aqr / 43 Aquarii),[8][9] ye una estrella na constelación d'Acuariu asitiada a 191 años lluz del Sistema Solar.

Nome

El términu Ancha, «cadril» nel llatín medieval, tien el so orixe na posición que la estrella ocupaba na figura d'Acuariu, el portador de l'agua; sicasí, na mayor parte de los atles modernos apaez asitiada na cinturón delantre de la figura.[10]

Per otra parte, según dellos autores, na antigua China recibía'l nome de Lei, «la llárima».[11]

Carauterístiques

Ancha ye una xigante mariella de tipu espectral G8III[8] con una temperatura efectivo de 4909 K.[12] Tien un diámetru 15,4 vegaes más grande que'l del Sol, cifra calculada a partir de la midida direuta del so diámetru angular —1,85 milisegundos d'arcu—.[13] De magnitú aparente +4,17, la so lluminosidá ye 83 vegaes mayor que la lluminosidá solar.

Ancha tien una metalicidá daqué mayor que la del Sol ([Fe/H] = +0,10), siendo la so bayura relativa de fierro un 25% mayor que la d'ésti.[14] Xira sobre sigo mesma con una velocidá de rotación proyeutada de 3,94 km/s.[15] Tien una masa envalorada de 2,8 mases solares y paez tener una edá entendida ente 440[12] y 580 millones d'años.[14]
