Ang Solonghello ay isang comune (komuna o munisipalidad) sa Lalawigan ng Alessandria, rehiyon ng Piamonte, hilagang Italya, na matatagpuan mga 45 kilometro (28 mi) silangan ng Turin at mga 35 kilometro (22 mi) hilagang-kanluran ng Alessandria. Noong Disyembre 31, 2004, mayroon itong populasyon na 234 at may lawak na 4.9 kilometro kuwadrado (1.9 mi kuw).[3]

May hangganan ang Solonghello sa mga sumusunod na munisipalidad: Camino, Mombello Monferrato, Pontestura, at Serralunga di Crea.

Pinagmulan ng pangalan

Ang toponimo ay malamang na mula sa Hermaniko at ipinapalagay na ito ay nagmula sa tamang pangalan na Swal na sinamahan ng hulaping ing na nagpapahiwatig ng pag-aari at ang diminutibong elus kaya nakakakuha ng interpretasyon na nangangahulugang: maliit na teritoryo na pagmamay-ari ng isang pinuno na nagngangalang Swala.[4]
