Receptor ukusa tip 2 član 14 je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran TAS2R14 genom.[1][2][3]
Funkcije
Ovaj protein je član familije of mogućih receptora ukusa. On pripada grupi G protein spregnutih receptora i specifično je izražen u ćelijama ukusa jezika i epitela nepci. On deluje kao receptor gorkog ukusa. Istraživanja funkcionalne ekspresije su pokazala da TAS2R14 proizvodi respons na (-)-α-tujon, primarni neurotoksični agens u absintu, i pikrotoksinu, otrovu prisutnom u bobicama biljke Anamirta cocculus.[4] Ovaj gen se nalazi u genskom klasteru na hromozomu 12p13.[3]
